Continue in Christ the Way You Started

The subject of our passage is straightforward. How to grow spiritually. It's nice to know this. What does spiritual growth look like? When I became a Christian, I wasn't sure how to grow. I'm not even sure I knew to expect growth. No one read this passage to me. I just kind of went on living life, but as a Christian now. God took care of me, so don't fret if your story is similar. But it's nice to know if you're a Christian or considering Christianity. How do we grow spiritually? Paul gives us the answer in verse 6, the first command in the book, "Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him." In other words: Continue in Christ the Way You Started. That's the big idea. Continue in Christ the way you started. How can we do that? Three ways from our passage. Walk with simplicity and joy, don't be captive to deception, be captivated by Christ.
