Fear Not, Believe His Authority

Passage: Luke 8:22-56 — Our passage today tells three stories that have a common thread that connects them. Luke is showing us the early ministry of Jesus as things are progressing. There are three stories and four miracles that demonstrate total authority which Jesus possesses over nature, over the spiritual world, over sickness and even death. Each of the stories has great examples for us of human response to Jesus in both fear and faith. The big idea is this: Fear not, believe his authority. Authority over what? Over the storm, over demons, and over sickness and death.
