God Will Do It

Passage: Matthew 9:35-38 — Today we are taking a one week break from the book of Luke so we can look at the passage that called us to plant a church in Manhattan. In Matthew 9:35-38 we see the Lord Jesus revealing his heart to his disciples, aiming their eyes at the lost world, and then giving them a simple plan to reach it. The emotional center of the text highlights the compassion Jesus has for the people in the city and the promise that there is a great harvest there. He’s telling his disciples that God will step in. He has stepped in. He will do his part. Their part is to see him at work, and align with him. This is our big idea: Won’t He Do it. He will! He did it before, and He will do it again.
