Passage: Daniel 11:2-12:13 — We need something to believe that sustains us not only in good times, but when we’re devastated. That is what our passage today is about. A basic truth is embedded in Daniel’s visions to to sustain God’s oppressed and discouraged people. To encourage people who have gone through generations of hardship, and face generations more to come. A truth big enough to sustain you and me regardless of whether our lives are prosperous and successful, or full of hardship and failure. In short, God Wins. This is our big idea. It is the final truth of Daniel, and it makes all the difference. When you believe this deeply, you’ll become resilient. Three ways this belief will change you. First, you’ll overcome suffering. Second, you’ll resist evil. And finally, you’ll hope unashamedly.
