Ephesians

Passage: Ephesians 5:1-21 – My hope tonight is to let the Bible show us who Jesus is, so we can understand what authentic Christianity looks like. To get back to the source. More than anything else, this passage shows off who God is, what Jesus has done for you, and challenges our self-obsessed society. Paul says there's only one way a Christian should live. Here it is: Imitate God. That’s the big idea of the sermon. The passage breaks down into three main instructions. We’ll walk through them one at a time. Walk in love. Walk in the light. Walk in wisdom. And if you’re not a Christian, it’s a perfect passage to give you a solid intro to Christianity. We get to address several of the basic objections people have to Christianity tonight. We’ll discuss our sexual ethic, the idea of wrath and God’s judgment, the fact that there are some who say they're Christian, but who live in a way where they transparently exploit or dehumanize others.
