Passage: Luke 11:1-13 — In today's passage the disciples ask Jesus to teach them how to pray. It’s a striking request, because it’s the only time they ask Jesus to teach them how to do something. They’re always asking him to explain things to them, but this is the only time we have recorded where they ask him to teach them how to do something. Jesus gives his disciples a model prayer and then teaches them to pray like he does. The big idea is this: Learn to pray from the Lord Jesus. What can we learn from him? We’ll see His manner, His model, and His mindset.
