Our God is Faithful to His Promises

Passage: Daniel 9:1-27 — Our passage tonight is dominated by a heartfelt prayer of Daniel, which is followed by God's answer to his prayer. Daniel knew that all the vivid curses God promised in his law were now reality for Israel. Their exile, the destruction of Jerusalem, these were promised if Israel turned away from God and turned to idols. He also knew God’s promise to be merciful when their hearts returned to him. Throughout the text we see this theme: Our God is Faithful to His Promises. And we see through Daniel, two ways we can respond to this. First, pray because He’s sovereign. And second, hope because He’s good.
