Rejoice! God Sent the Savior We Need

Passage: Luke 2:1-21 — Luke is a master storyteller, and in our passage today we get to experience it through the scenes he lays out for us. Right at the center of the story, we see the big idea – as the sky explodes with light and angels give glory to God for sending the savior, Luke is telling us – Rejoice! God sent the Savior we need. That’s the big idea: Rejoice, God sent the Savior we need The savior we need is not necessarily the savior we would have chosen. Luke paints a vivid picture of the real Jesus for us so we can rejoice in the surprisingly wonderful news that the savior is here. As we walk through the passage, we’ll see how Luke crafts the story to highlight three characteristics of Christ the savior: His Humility, His Majesty, and The Wonder.
