Passage: Luke 3:1-20 — Repent and be Saved. This gets to the heart of Christianity. Jesus offers everything to us, but he requires something too. Some, like the crowds in our text say, “what then shall we do?”. Others, like Herod at the end of our text, the cost is too high, so they harden their heart and reject God’s invitation. Tonight, we’ll ask the question the crowds asked: what then shall we do. We’ll walk through how to make sense of spiritual longing and find salvation from sin. His call is simple, but radical: repent and be saved. We’ll get very practical tonight. It looks like this: Repent, obey, and rest. Repent, obey, rest.
