Passage: Luke 1:26-56 — The birth of Jesus was not good news for the powerful of the day. He would undercut all the religious and political elites. But it was good news for a humble rural teenager, and it’s good news for you and me if we’re humble like Mary. That’s the big idea. The birth of Jesus is good news for the humble. As we seek to encounter this same Jesus, we’ll walk the same path Mary walked: believe, rejoice, magnify.
