Passage: Luke 6:46-49 — In today’s text, Jesus gives the illustration of two houses, built on different foundations. He’s talking about what we choose to build our life on. When we think about the life we want, what are we building our lives on? What is our foundation? Can it stand when the waves come? Jesus knows only one foundation can stand all the waves of life — His word. That’s our big idea: The kingdom people of Jesus build their lives on his word. We’ll look at this short teaching in two parts. First, what it means to build your life on his word. Second, how to build your life on his word, and third, why build your life on his word.
